Crimes such as rape and sexual assault, domestic violence, forced marriage, stalking, harassment, and digital crimes including cyber-flashing, revenge porn and up-skirting are taking place every day. Advancements have been made to tackle offences that disproportionately affect women and girls, but there are still too many instances of victims and survivors being let down.
Participants will benefit from ground-breaking collaborations and panel discussion to reform rape investigations and prosecutions. Hear innovative case studies of crimes against women and how the perpetrators were brought to justice.
A must attend for law enforcement, criminal justice advocates, victim advocates, local authorities, education providers, health, housing, social care and the public and nonprofit sector, you’ll hear from a lineup of experts and practitioners who will address the need to strengthen joint working between organizations to effectively address Violence Against Women Conference issues.
Our expert speakers cover a range of issues and offer solutions that can be adapted and utilized in our communities.
MISSION STATEMENT: We inspire and educate those who respond to gender-based violence, equipping them with the knowledge and tools they need to support victims and hold perpetrators accountable. We promote victim-centered, multi-disciplinary collaboration, which strengthens the response of the criminal justice system, other professionals, allies, and the general public - making communities safer.
VISION: We envision a world where gender-based violence is unacceptable, where perpetrators are held accountable, and victims receive the compassion, support, and justice they deserve.
