The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to solicit proposals for professional Training Event Speakers for the upcoming Violence Against Women Conference, scheduled for February 4-6, 2025 at the Mission Events Center, Mission, Texas 78572. 

Conference Speakers must be willing to provide their services pro bono publico (without expectation of payment) for the good of the victim advocates, law enforcement first responders, prosecutors, judges, social workers, and other allied professionals who will be in attendance at the Conference. 

The conference organizers anticipate attendance of 300+ attendees, the majority of whom will include, but not be limited to, victims of crime, victim advocates, first responders, sexual assault and domestic violence advocates, prosecutors, judges, social workers, and other allied professionals. 

Violence Against Women Conference welcomes Violence Against Women Conference RFPs on emerging trends and best practices in victim advocacy to include, but not limited to crisis response, domestic violence, human trafficking, identity theft and cybercrime and cyber-security, judicial and prosecutor perspectives, law enforcement based issues, matters relating to the LGBTQ communities, victim based project management, self-care, sexual harassment, sexual assault, inclusive and accessible practices for underserved populations, campus advocacy, victims’ rights, and trauma-informed direct service victim assistance. 

The VAWC will make use of a variety of learning formats, including over 15 workshops and general session keynote addresses all with a focus on self-care for the professional in the field of victim advocacy.
